Grace Hill regeneration creates flats to rent
Several months ago 15 Grace Hill Folkestone was derelict, with the upper floors open to the elements.
Now, after a top-to-toe total refurbishment, the dilapidated building has been transformed into 5 bright, modern one bedroom flats and ground floor office space.
Shepway District Council are responsible for this transformation, thanks to the setting up of Oportunitas, a private generation and housing company.
“Central Government has given local Councils the freedom to set up private companies, and we seized this as an opportunity to direct funding to two of our key priorities – local homes for local people and the regeneration of the district,” said Cllr Dick Pascoe, Chairman of the board of Oportunitas.
The self-contained flats will be rented to local people, full information and availability of which can be obtained by contacting the Letting Agents: Smith Woolley on 01303 226622.
