Folkestone is named by the Sunday Times as one of the best ‘up-and-coming’ areas to live and invest in for 2022. Tom Palmer’s article in the Sunday Times Home section (19^th June) mentions Folkestone as benefiting from regeneration of the Creative Quarter with its interesting shops and galleries, and the Harbour Arm with its lively bars and places to eat. Highlighted are good restaurants, the beach front, colourful beach huts along the seafront and the lovely Lower Leas Coastal Park. The feature also mentions the High-Speed rail link, which is rapid (less than an hour to London St Pancras) and the house prices being relatively forgiving.
